1. Your musical journey began at a young age, starting with makeshift equipment and classroom resources. How did those early experiences shape your approach to music production and your creative process today?

In response to this question, I would say that consistency in my practice and the extensive resources available on YouTube have significantly influenced my approach to music production. These early experiences laid a strong foundation for my creative process, allowing me to continuously refine my skills and explore new techniques

2. In 2020, your single "You Are Appreciated Mangcobo" received acknowledgment from South African actress Dawn Thandeka King. What inspired you to dedicate a song to her, and how did it feel to have your work recognized by someone you admire?

I dedicated this song to her because her character resonated with me deeply, and I wanted to show my appreciation for the inspiration she provided. To have my work recognized by someone I admire so much is a dream come true. It fills my heart with hope and reminds me that with love and passion, I can reach for my dreams and make them a reality.

3. You've collaborated with both local and international artists, including your EP "Worldwide Movement". How do you approach collaborations, and what have you learned from working with artists from different musical backgrounds?

Before I entered the studio to work on my EP, I took the time to thoughtfully plan and reach out to the artists I wanted to collaborate with. I conducted research on their musical backgrounds and sounds to ensure a harmonious blend. Through these collaborations, I discovered that partnering with other artists can truly be a win-win situation. When our project is released, it not only showcases our individual talents but also invites both of our audiences to come together, creating a broader community of listeners who can appreciate the music we’ve created.

4. Your performance at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair and subsequent international exposure marked significant milestones in your career. How do you balance your Zimbabwean roots with your growing international presence, and how has this shaped your identity as an artist?

Throughout my 10 years of experience in music, my primary goal has been to establish a strong presence in Zimbabwe before venturing onto the international stage. I'm grateful that this strategy has unfolded as I envisioned, even though I recognize that I still have further to go in my career.

Balancing my Zimbabwean roots with my growing international exposure has indeed been both challenging and rewarding. My cultural background profoundly influences my music, allowing me to infuse local sounds and themes while exploring global trends. This duality enriches my identity as an artist; I take pride in sharing my heritage with a wider audience and showcasing the uniqueness of Zimbabwean culture on international platforms.

As I delve deeper into the international scene, I find that it demands more from me in terms of creativity, professionalism, and adaptability. However, I see this challenge as an opportunity for growth, pushing me to evolve while staying true to my artistic vision. Ultimately, this balance has shaped me into a more versatile artist, allowing me to navigate various influences while remaining grounded in my roots.

5. Starting 2024 with performances in the UK and sharing the stage with various artists highlights your expanding global reach. What are your goals for the future, and how do you plan to continue evolving and pushing the boundaries of your music?

As we move further into 2024, my goals include building a professional network by attending industry events and collaborating with fellow musicians. I’m focused on enhancing my brand through a cohesive image and a stronger social media presence. Connecting with UK artists and performing at festivals will help me reach new audiences. Additionally, I plan to continue evolving my music by experimenting with different genres to keep my sound fresh and engaging. I’m excited about the journey ahead and the potential to inspire others along the way!
