POND ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUMSTUNG!

Psychedelic rock sensation Pond has just unveiled their latest musical venture, "Stung!", set to hit the shelves on June 21, 2024, under Spinning Top Records. Coinciding with their tenth studio album announcement, the Perth-based outfit also dropped their fresh single, "(I'm) Stung," accompanied by a must-see music video.

"(I'm) Stung" emerged from an unlikely inspiration. "I found the core of this track while cutting grass. A simple piano session at home, and it just clicked. This piece was a healing force after a tough rejection, filled with raw emotions and the magic of Gin and Gum's intricate sounds," shared the band. The song dives deep into the heartache of unreciprocated love, portraying vulnerability and resilience with a touch of self-mockery.

The music video for "(I'm) Stung" takes viewers on a surreal journey through Lancelin, Western Australia, featuring the band in a spectacle of silver body paint and rockstar attire amidst the stark landscape. Directed by Chris Adams, the video captures the band's wild antics and the memorable encounter with a bee, symbolizing the unexpected stings of life.

Following their critically acclaimed single "Neon River," Pond's upcoming double album, "Stung!", promises a bold departure from their previous work. Embracing the expansive creativity akin to the likes of "Tusk" and "Sign 'O' the Times," Pond packs fourteen tracks into an unforgettable auditory experience. Despite life's complexities, the band has managed to craft their most ambitious record yet, a testament to their enduring friendship and collective artistic vision.

As they gear up for a globe-trotting tour, including stops in Australia with Queens of the Stone Age, a US spring tour, and a European leg culminating at London's Scala, Pond invites fans to pre-order "Stung!" on special 180g 2LP "Bee" vinyl. With a legacy spanning nearly two decades, Pond's relentless creativity and zest for music shine brighter than ever, proving their resilience and unique place in the rock panorama.
