ONLY THE POETS RELEASE NEW SINGLE & SHARE VIDEO FOR 'CRASH'

Reading-based indie-pop sensations Only The Poets have unleashed their latest offering, the exhilarating single 'Crash.' With its fusion of propulsive drums, driving guitars, and tantalizing synth-pop undertones, the track showcases the band's unwavering ambition for stadium-sized success. Co-written alongside music heavyweights Olly Burden (The Prodigy) and Tylr Rydr (Ashnikko, Girli, Cassyette), and produced by the talented King Ed (Baby Queen, Years & Years), 'Crash' is destined to captivate the devoted following of Only The Poets during their electric live performances. Frontman Tommy sheds light on the inspiration behind 'Crash,' describing it as an introspective exploration of battling one's own emotions. The lyrics reflect those moments when life appears to be thriving, yet an inclination persists to focus on the negatives, as if the positive aspects are too good to be true. The band aimed to embody this concept through a careful balance of calm and chaos within the track's composition. King Ed expertly translated their vision, infusing the verses with sparse and electronic-inspired elements that seamlessly transition into explosive bursts of band-driven energy. The mix engineer Dan Grech provided the finishing touches, enhancing the track's impact and clarity.

Comprised of Tommy Longhurst (lead vocalist), Andy "Roo" Burge (bassist), Clem Cherry (guitarist), and Marcus Yates (drummer), Only The Poets have rapidly ascended the ranks as one of the UK's most promising emerging live acts. Despite operating as an unsigned band until recently, their DIY ethos propelled them from playing intimate student house parties, pub circuits, and small venues to commanding sold-out crowds at 1,600-capacity venues across the UK and Europe in the past year.

Their previous single, 'Jump,' served as an impassioned anthem characterized by widescreen, galloping riffs that seamlessly blended sparkling indie-pop with the down-to-earth swagger reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and Sam Fender. Additionally, the fan-favorite track 'Even Hell' celebrated the transformative power of music, enveloping listeners with chiming guitars, impassioned vocals, and irresistible harmonies that evoked the spirit of a vibrant festival crowd.

Following an immensely successful European tour as support for Lewis Capaldi earlier this year, Only The Poets recently concluded their spring European tour, which spanned major cities including Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, Berlin, and Amsterdam. The tour reached its triumphant climax with a sold-out performance at Shepherd's Bush Empire. As their ascent continues, the band is set to support indie-pop stalwarts Bastille at their Dreamland show in Margate on July 1st. They have also secured a spot on the prestigious BBC Introducing stage for this summer. Please refer to the list below for the complete schedule of their upcoming live dates.

In an effort to foster an intimate connection with their fans, Only The Poets have implemented measures to bridge the gap between artist and audience. These initiatives include reduced ticket prices for fans facing financial constraints, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Furthermore, the band organized an exclusive performance at Camden Assembly for their most devoted followers on the eve of their headline show at Shepherd's Bush last month. With an immensely successful tour behind them and the addition of another captivating track to their repertoire, Only The Poets continue to build unstoppable momentum as festival season 2023 and beyond beckons.
