Get ready to dive into the world of CHUTS: a voice that demands to be heard and a name you won’t forget.

Your music draws from iconic artists like Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse. How have these legends shaped your sound and approach to songwriting?

All of these legends are completely raw in their emotions and unapologetically themselves. I used to beat around the bush a little when I first started writing to fit into some sort of imaginary box which made me almost disconnected from my own music. Joan Jett ‘doesn’t give a damn about her reputation’ and Amy Winehouse wrote exactly what she felt, so I thought, why shouldn’t I? They inspired me to speak my truth and screw the misconception and stereotype of women being bitches when they’re just speaking their mind - Its very empowering and I wanted to do this in my music for myself and others. I listen to them and get an insight into their mind and story so my music is now almost like my diary, very vulnerable, honest but it’s me.

Your latest single, "Karma," delves into heartbreak, anger, and self-discovery. Can you share more about the emotional journey behind this song and why it resonates so deeply with you?

Karma is a true story about one of my messiest and most heartbreaking breakups a while back. After the break up I did a year of self healing and a bit of traveling to gain closure and ended up in a beautiful relationship with a woman. This ex reached out to wish me well but in all honesty it filled me with rage, so I grabbed my laptop, grabbed my microphone, wrote Karma and left him on read.

Liverpool Sound and Vision praised your live shows for their immense power. How do you prepare for performances, and what do you hope audiences take away from your live sets?

I absolutely adore performing live! I’m quite an anxious person so before I go on stage I have a little ritual which is affirmations, vocal warm up, and a singular pint - always calms the nerves! I feel confident and sexy when I’m performing, it’s when I can be my authentic self so I hope my audience leaves feeling empowered and confident and sexy too;)

You’re working on a collaboration with a British rapper and preparing for the release of your EP. Can you share any details about these projects and what fans can expect in the near future?

The future projects are super exciting! I’m a big lover of anything with a heavy beat whether it’s a Bass or Drums in a Rock song or a dirty DnB mix. My solo stuff is very rock influenced with some personal truths coming out which I can’t wait to share and perform live. I’m working with The Modern Hippy on a collaborative EP which has some Jazz influenced RnB tracks and some Dance/DnB tunes all about relationships and naughty fun… 2025 is going to be a big year!
