L.A.B Ignites Global Audiences with Funk-Fueled Anthem 'Oh No (Pt. 2)'

L.A.B's meteoric rise continues as they clinch the Best Group, Best Song, and Best Album titles for the second consecutive year at the New Zealand Music Awards. Adding to their accolades, they secured Best Song at the 2023 Rolling Stone Awards and earned the prestigious title of New Zealand’s Best Live Act by Radio New Zealand. The band's distinctive sound, blending reggae, blues, funk, rock, and electronic elements, has become a genre-defying signature.


Founded by Brad Kora, L.A.B comprises Stu Kora, Ara Adams-Tamatea, Miharo Gregory, and the charismatic frontman Joel Shadbolt. Featuring former members of New Zealand's premier acts Kora and Katchafire, L.A.B has left an indelible mark on live stages across the UK, New Zealand, and Australia.



In the past five years, L.A.B has consistently delivered an album each year, solidifying their presence in the NZ Music Charts and dominating the festival circuit. Headlining major festivals from the Byron Bay Bluesfest and WOMAD to Rhythm and Vines and One Love, they've become a festival favorite.


Their summer run in 2022 saw them captivating over 70,000 fans in sold-out stadiums across Australia and New Zealand, including a memorable performance at Auckland’s iconic Western Springs. The band's momentum carried into 2023 with sold-out tours in New Zealand and Australia, entertaining over 25,000 fans in Australia alone. Venturing into the United States, they marked their territory with a performance at the renowned California Roots Festival and a sold-out show in Hawaii. October witnessed their European debut, where they mesmerized audiences and achieved back-to-back sell-outs at Paradiso in Amsterdam and the O2 Forum in London.



L.A.B's global impact caught the attention of Dolby, earning them a prestigious Artist Spotlight video. With five albums in five years, their chart dominance is undeniable, with hits like 'In The Air' and 'Why Oh Why' claiming the Number One spot. The band boasts an impressive record of all five albums achieving multi-platinum status, accompanied by 17 multi-platinum singles and 11 Gold singles.
