ICELAND AIRWAVES announce first names for 25th Anniversary Edition

Iceland Airwaves revealed the first names for its highly anticipated 25th Anniversary edition, set to ignite Downtown Reykjavik from November 7th to 9th, 2024. Alongside the lineup announcement, the festival has opened ticket and travel package sales for eager fans.

The festival is a cornerstone of Reykjavik's cultural calendar, showcasing emerging talent from Iceland and beyond. Since its inception in 1999, the festival has grown into a global phenomenon, attracting music lovers from all corners of the world. Supported by Icelandair and produced by Sena in collaboration with the City of Reykjavik, Iceland Airwaves continues to push boundaries, fostering creativity and community through the universal language of music.

Celebrating a quarter-century of showcasing Iceland’s vibrant creative scene alongside international musical talent, this year's event promises to be a standout in Iceland Airwaves' storied history. "We are incredibly proud to celebrate 25 years of Iceland Airwaves, having played a key part in launching the careers of some of the world’s most talented artists," shares Festival Manager Ísleifur Þórhallsson. "It is an honor to continue to bring new talent to Reykjavik and share our beloved Icelandic community with the world."

Leading the announcement is South London singer and producer Shygirl, followed by the cult London trio bar italia and Toronto-based, Japanese-Scottish artist Saya Gray, each recognized for their unique contributions to music.
