HE.SHE.THEY. LAUNCH NEW GLOBAL SOCIAL NETWORKING HUB WITH CHAT APP

HE.SHE.THEY. have evolved once again to deliver fans a global social networking hub with an accompanying chat app that aims to reduce the ills of the social world. Famed for their clothing, record label, and international inclusive raves that have seen the likes of Honey Dijon, Maya Jane Coles, and Ellen Allien take the decks; HE.SHE.THEY. evolve once again to deliver fans a global social networking hub with an accompanying chat app that aims to reduce the ills of the social world.

Created by HE.SHE.THEY. co-founders Steven Braines and Sophia Kearney; the new HE.SHE.THEY. platform offering serves not only to house the many strands of the collective under one roof but also offer a safer place to chat, make new friends and even date online.

“With diversity, inclusion and community, at the heart of everything that HE.SHE.THEY. does, we wanted to disrupt the social media space as we have in the arts. We all know social media sites and dating apps can be toxic with anonymous trolls ready to spit hate, but we also know that these apps can bring many positives if you can lessen the negatives ” says Steven.

“Firstly, to be able to use the online hub and accompanying app, you have to have your profile validated by sending in a picture of yourself doing the same distinct randomised gesture as in the photo. This is checked by actual humans rather than relying on an algorithm."

“Our community has always been about platforming and celebrating weird and wonderful humans, so of course, we have a zero tolerance policy on homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, disablism, body shaming and racism on the app. People can report hate speech - again to an actual human - and depending on the nature of the violation people will either be warned about their behaviour or banned from the app.”

Just like their events, everyone with a tolerant, kind & open mind is welcome to use the service from all races, genders and sexualities.

Currently, the site and app will be focused on dating, friend-finding and community building, with users soon to be treated to big discounts and early releases on HE.SHE.THEY.; gig tickets, clothing and exclusive content including full length episodes of their new podcast series which launched today.

The first podcasts in the series include Spanish style icon Sita Abellan who is responsible for the most iconic looks of Kim Kardashian and J Balvin, superstar DJ Eats Everything, club kid Max The Tribrid who identifies at the intersection of witch-hellhound-human and lastly, but by no means least, Amy Jandrisevits who runs the A Doll Like Me charity, making bespoke dolls for children with unique attributes (such as limb differences), so they can have a doll that looks like them.

Both the site and chat app, available on Apple and Android are free to sign up to, download and use, with some features eventually only being available to subscribers or via in-app purchases in future versions; so if you want to be one of the first to use the beta version of the app then download it here today!
