HAVE A GD TRIP is an independent skateboarding company dedicated to community, wellness and a gd time. We're here to encourage you onto a board, whatever your ability and to do the things you love the most. To have a gd trip. We spoke to them about their latest project Rollin’. A celebration of the ever-iconic Rizla and pub & pint pioneers Laine, as they launch a new collaboration RIZLAINE+ Here is how it went down.
The Rollin’ film perfectly captures the spirit of community and alternative culture. How did it feel to be part of a project that blends skateboarding, pub culture, and creativity in such a unique way?
Being asked to be a part of a project like this was kind of a dream come true. To be invited to hang out and skate, sample a bunch of delicious beer in some really interesting bars—it was like stepping into an environment that celebrates the things we love most. The whole project’s vibe felt organic and real, which is what skateboard culture is all about.
Have A GD Trip is all about inclusivity and making skateboarding accessible to everyone. How does the Rizlaine+ collaboration align with your mission, and what do you hope people take away from it?
In a way, it felt like we were highlighting something both skateboarding and pub culture share in abundance —the importance of community. People coming together to have fun, to enjoy each other’s company, and to share a love for something that brings them joy, whether that’s skating or chilling with friends in a beautiful pub.
The RIZLAINE+ collection features bold, rollin’-inspired designs-from flaming dice to hamsters in wheels. How do these visuals connect with the skate culture you represent?
In short, I think the visuals for the partnership are totally on point. They’re authentic. And a fun representation of the vibrant spirit of skate culture. 4. In just two years, Have A GD Trip has made a real impact in the skate community, collaborating with big names and supporting important causes. What’s next for the crew, and how do partnerships like this help push your vision forward? The last couple years have been pretty wild for Have A Gd Trip. From starting out as a little skate crew of new parents, to a growing community hosting events around the country and collaborating with some of our favourite brands. Partnerships like this are huge because they gives us the means to work towards the next project, whether that’s hosting another Skateboard Film Club at Rich Mix in London or getting one step closer to opening our HAGT skatepark. Being a part of something like RIZLAINE helps put Have A Gd Trip on a platform that purely skating at our local park can’t. And I’m so grateful for this. And it’s not just about growing what we’re doing, it’s about spreading the message that ‘learning to skateboard is gd for you’ and if skateboarding isn’t your thing, then please pursue whatever it is that makes you happy. Life is hard and too short.

5.You’ve skated through Brighton for this project-a city known for its creativity and openness. How did the energy of the city influence the film, and what was the best part of filming Rollin’?
Brighton is such a unique place, and its energy had a huge impact on the vibe of the film. The creativity and openness the city radiates are reflected in Rollin’. There’s a kind of unfiltered authenticity that’s hard to find everywhere. And that special atmosphere made it the perfect backdrop for a project like this.
Honestly, the shoot was one of the best days our crew has ever had. The weather was incredible, the new skatepark in Hove is amazing and working with Marcus, Rick, Jamie and Jenny was a dream. We’re gassed to have Rollin’ as a document for such a special time. Thank you for having us.
