Green Man Festival Announce New Line Up For 2024

Dubbed as "practically as much a part of the Powys landscape as the soaring mountains," by The Guardian, and hailed as "one of the most reliable gatherings on the ever more cluttered festival calendar," by The Times, the Green Man Festival returns with its enchanting mix of music, arts, and nature. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Black Mountains in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, this celebrated event is slated to take place from August 15th to 18th, promising an unforgettable experience for its attendees.

The festival organisers have unveiled an electrifying first wave of acts for 2024, featuring an eclectic array of performers that span genres and generations. Headlining this year's edition are the acclaimed American indie folk band Big Thief, the revered South London multi-hyphenate Sampha, electronic pioneer Jon Hopkins, and post-punk heroes Sleaford Mods. With tickets for the festival selling out in a mere two hours last September, anticipation is sky-high for another epic weekend in the Welsh Mountains.

Beyond the stellar musical lineup, the magic of Green Man lies in its diverse offerings across 10 unique areas. From art installations scattered throughout the tranquil valley to a beer and cider tent serving up crisp Welsh pints, festival-goers can immerse themselves in a wealth of experiences. The festival also features a Shapes-themed area for exploration, a relaxation and workshop space for teenagers, and the science engagement area, Einstein's Garden.

Furthermore, attendees who have purchased a Settler's Pass will enjoy a week in the Welsh valleys, complete with discounts on local heritage sites, galleries, and castles. It's an opportunity to delve deeper into the region's rich culture and natural beauty while extending the Green Man experience beyond the festival grounds.

As the festival enters its third decade, Green Man continues to evolve into one of Europe's most unique and inclusive gatherings. With a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and community, Green Man remains a beacon of creativity and connection in the festival landscape. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements in the months leading up to Green Man Festival 2024, and mark your calendars for a weekend of music, arts, and magic in the Welsh mountains.
