Getting To Know: DANCE4PEACE

"Welcome to Peace Project Global, where the mission is simple—unite people through the power of peace, love, and music. With their latest release, ‘Here I Am,’ already making waves and a remix package on the horizon, this movement is more than just sound—it's a call to action. Their track ‘Soldiers of Peace,’ launched on Earth Day 2022, underscores their core philosophy of community and global change. Passionate about making a positive impact, Peace Project Global is dedicated to helping others and creating a ripple effect of transformation. Let’s explore how music can become a force for global good."

1. What inspired you and Rick Gianatos to start The Peace Project, and how has its mission evolved since its inception in 2018, also tell us about the history of Dance4Peace?

LA LA PEACE SONG is a powerhouse song with a moral message, both when it was originally released in 1974 ( re-released in 2018)and also for today and the world we are living in. Renowned American Dance Music Producer Rick Gianatos created this music release as a personal statement against all the violence that has been going on in recent years, including in St. Louis, Cleveland, Baltimore, Atlanta, and most recently in Europe. We are hoping to create awareness for the innocent victims and all proceeds from La La Peace Song will go to Debbie Jacobs Rock’s non-profit in Baltimore, Light Health & Wellness.

David Crooks PPG D4P Founder / Director:

“Our aim is to bring creative collaborators and influencers from all around the world together to help spread positivity, well being and happiness to one and all through music and events. We are a collective of creative people who have joined forces for peace, love, music, laughter, positivity, inclusivity and unity”.

Rick Gianatos Music Producer - TPP-D4P creative partner:

“It’s all about peace love, music and unity”.

Pete Brazier award winning music producer and label owner at Vertical Rooms Studio, one half of UK dance music stalwarts The BeatMasters-PPG and D4P creative partner:

"Jam ( Elmar from Jam and Spoon) introduced me to David in 2019 backstage at a magazines award ceremony where David was busily ushering everyone about and they were dutifully listening. I am always keen to hear peoples stories and David shared ( or tried to over the party ) his ideas of essentially wanting to bring everyone together with music love and peace like a ‘huge world party’ through music and events , like the internet but face to face and thru making songs and giving people the chance to remix them and releasing and playing them at the parties”. Davids enthusiasm is infectious as I was soon thinking of him when in the studio on a BeatMasters mix where we played a John F Kennedy speech and he says to be a soldier of peace it fired an idea for me for Davids project , so we did a remix of our original mix , removing the sample and writing some original narrative vocals performed by long term friend and writer Paul Errington and it became the first Peace Project Global release. We are now onto the second release coming shortly and thrilled to be interviewed by you guys”.

2. With such a diverse range of artists and producers involved, how do you ensure that The Peace Project stays true to its core message of unity, peace, and positivity?

We are trying to keep to our core message by including everyone thru our openness to our music channels and events and by giving artists and producers from all over the world and every background a platform to release music on and spread our message of unity and music bringing everyone together. We hope the people who we find cosmically linked to us along the journey are a good choice from us. We try our best today and tomorrow when our best is better we will try even more !

3. The song "Here I Am" touches on themes of redemption and overcoming personal struggles. How important is it for The Peace Project to address not just global issues, but also personal ones through your music?

Its incredibly important to all partners of TPP and D4P to address everyone involved personal issues and allow everyone the kindness, patience and love they need to overcome any personal problems and challenges and grow around the grief and struggle as we are all only human and as inevitably everyone goes thru personal issues in life and spreading positive personal issues thru music is a wonderful thing as this will make an impact on reducing our stress levels and it could help inspire change in others.

4. Dance 4 Peace has become one of the official sponsors of the #JSMNetworking night. How do events like these help to amplify the message of The Peace Project, and what are your hopes for the impact they will have?

Yes - As Peace project Global and Dance4 Peace we have sponsored many networking events and supported many of the industry showcase events including Brighton Music Conference (BMC), meeting some amazing aspiring dance producers, Vertical Rooms Live(VR Live) nights which showcase some of the best up coming grass roots music in the Uk at Pete’s award winning music facilities, as well as being a part of the JSM Networking night. John, long time friend of Pete’s has a long running night, which much like VR Live and BMC invites industry veterans and young artists to network together and amplify the message of community and unity except meeting people face to face, with music the key element so we are hoping to meet more like minded creatives and business partners to help myself and Pete and Rick grow TPP message and output.

5. With upcoming releases and events, what can supporters and fans of The Peace Project expect in the near future, and how can they get involved in supporting your mission?

Soon there will be more music from many dance genres being released in the form of the ‘Here I Am’ remixes package. Alongside the original songs release, written by Brendon Cleary and Pete Brazier, this package offers a showcase platform for a strong cross section of up coming producers and remixers from Rinaldo , Jon Dennis , James Black, Dean Sherry, Johnny Barnet, Soul Alt Delete, to Brightons own Trish O who is currently ripping up radio one with her latest release. We also hope to make a compilation album of the best of our remixed original songs and to hold a major event in late 2025 are we are looking for main sponsors from media companies, magazines and any other companies nationwide - our event would be a dance event to bring everyone together to get over the conflict and negativity in the world as music does bring people together.
