Four Tet and Madlib Collaborate on New Track 'Dirtknock'

Dirtknock is the latest single from the collaboration of Four Tet and Madlib, ahead of their anticipated 16-track album Sound Ancestors. Set for release on the 29th of January, this track sits alongside their first two singles Road of the Lonely Ones and Hopprock.

The track combines stylistic elements from both musicians, with a crunchy bassline and electronic sounds teased throughout.

The pair's collaboration was announced last month, and is set for release via Madlib Invazion. Speaking about working with Madlib, Kieran Hebden (Four Tet), described the process: “I put this concept to him when we were hanging out eating some nice food one day and we decided to work on this together with him sending me tracks, loops, ideas and experiments that I would arrange, edit, manipulate and combine".
