Burial Reveals New Track 'Chemz' Ahead of New EP
Burial has shared his latest track Chemz, as part of his anticipated two-part EP. The track is 12 minutes long, described as a "rave monster", shifting between moods in classic Burial-style. The second, Dolphinz, will drop in February 2021 on Hyperdub, with the vinyl anticipated for April.
Burial's forthcoming releases come off the back of this month's exciting two-track collaboration with Thom Yorke and Four Tet, Her Revolution / His Rope.
Not much is known about the release, apart from a short description on the Bandcamp listing: "Burial returns with a flash of light at the end of the 2020 tunnel. ‘Chemz’ is hooky, rushy and loved up - both an unhinged premonition of unleashed post-pandemic joy and a demonic flashback to past ecstasies in a hardcore style perfected in the UK. ‘Chemz’ is a 12 minute rave monster that has ingested several tracks and incorporated them into its distended body."
