Bloc Party announce their biggest show to date at London's Crystal Palace Park

London, get ready for a monumental celebration as Bloc Party, the iconic indie rock trailblazers, mark two decades of musical brilliance with their biggest show to date at Crystal Palace Park on Sunday, 7 July 2024. This momentous event is a tribute to 20 years since the release of their first proper single, featuring the full performance of their seminal debut album, Silent Alarm, and a selection of their greatest hits. Tickets for this unmissable show go on general sale at 10:00 AM (GMT) on Friday, 8 December 2023, via www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

Kele Okereke of Bloc Party shares the excitement, stating, “We've been having so much fun playing shows over the past year, so it makes sense to do something special for old and new fans, celebrating twenty years of Bloc Party. We heard from a lot of people that they couldn't get tickets for the Silent Alarm gigs, so a one-off summer party playing that and the bangers feels like the right thing to do.”

In addition to the blockbuster concert, 2024 will see Bloc Party re-releasing a trove of rare songs, deep cuts, and fan favorites to streaming services, ensuring their complete catalogue is available to fans for the very first time.

Bloc Party, firmly woven into the global tapestry of indie, recently concluded a co-headline tour with Interpol in Australia and supported Paramore, reinforcing their status as global hitmakers. From hooky post-punk to ambitious genre-mashing, Bloc Party's artistic restlessness has been a defining force since the early 2000s. Lead by the impassioned frontman Kele Okereke, their groundbreaking debut album Silent Alarm in 2005 solidified them as trailblazers, shaping British indie rock for years to come.

Joining Bloc Party in this unforgettable celebration at Crystal Palace Park will be The Hives (UK exclusive performance), famed for their electrifying live shows, and indie dance trio Friendly Fires, known for their anthemic choruses and swooning melodies. The lineup also includes Merseyside alt-rock four-piece The Mysterines and breakthrough artist Connie Constance.

Crystal Palace Park, London's original outdoor concert venue, has a rich history hosting legends like The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, and Pink Floyd. Don't miss this extraordinary event as Bloc Party takes the stage in a setting that has witnessed iconic performances over the years.

Tickets go on general sale at 10:00AM (GMT) Friday 08 December from www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
