The album showcases Hammond Jr's exceptional songwriting abilities and features a stellar lineup of collaborators, including GoldLink, Steve Stevens, Matt Helders, and Rainsford.


The latest offering from the album is the track "Memo of Hate," accompanied by a captivating music video. This follows the previously released videos for "100-99" featuring GoldLink and "Old Man." The track and its accompanying visuals showcase Hammond Jr's evolution as an artist and provide a glimpse into the creative direction of the forthcoming album.


In a recent conversation with The FADER, Hammond Jr shared insights into his creative process and the inspiration behind "Melodies On Hiatus." "Meldodies On Hiatus" boasts an impressive production team, with Gus Oberg handling production duties. The album was co-written remotely with Simon Wilcox and mixed by Tony Hoffer, known for his work with Beck, Air, M83, Metric, and Chromeo. The mastering was done by Dave Cooley, whose credits include Paramore, Spoon, Tame Impala, and Jimmy Eat World.


Albert Hammond Jr has established himself as a successful solo artist with a string of acclaimed albums under his belt. His previous works, including "Yours to Keep" (2006), "¿Cómo Te Llama?" (2008), "Momentary Masters" (2015), and "Francis Trouble" (2018), have garnered over 175 million lifetime streams.
