Five-day birthday fundraiser for late DJ Alex T

DJ's from all around the UK will be celebrating the Birthday of the late DJ Alex Theodossiadis who would have turned 26 today. Alex is being remembered this week with a five-day stream to raise money for Meningitis Now which was set-up by his brother Seb and Heels & Souls who have put together a 5-day cross-country marathon of live-streams. The five day celebration will feature the likes of Shanti Celeste, Moxie & Peach as well as Alex's friends and colleagues from Leeds such as Tony Neptune, Zoe Pea and Dubrunner.

Each day of the live-stream will be hosted all around the country with the close to Theodossiadis' heart, starting with Tribe Records in Leeds who Alex worked for, this will be hosted at Leeds venue Sheaf Street. The following day (June 17th), the stream heads to Alex’s hometown of Manchester, with Partisan, Left, Right & Centre & All Hands On Deck sharing duties. Moving into the weekend, on Friday (June 19th) Heels & Souls present a packed 14-hour bill from London, before the tribute head back up the M1 for a final session in ‘Gary Deep’s’ spiritual home of Leeds on Saturday (20th June). The final stream is hosted by On Rotation, the event and mix series that Alex played a pivotal role in developing.

The event is on Resident Advisor and can be streamed on Facebook, the organisers put out a message encouraging people to spread the word "People can attend the FB event and raise awareness to the tribute by inviting friends to do likewise, tune in, comment and share the streams when they’re live, create Zoom sessions for a socially distanced listening party, and give generously to the Meningitis Now JustGiving page." They aim to collectively raise £5000 for Meningitis Now, so please donate generously and get others too as well.
